The Boxing Stance

  • If you are right-handed you are an orthodox boxer so take a step back with your right foot.
  • If you are left-handed you are a southpaw boxer so take a step back with your left foot.
  • Knees bent with 50% of your weight on your back foot and 50% of your weight on your front foot.
  • Toes pointed 45%
  • Angle your lead shoulder towards your back foot.
  • Elbows in, chin down and tucked behind your lead shoulder.
  • Find some rhythm by transferring your weight from front to back while maintaining your balance. Core on and glutes fired!
  • Heels are not planted!
  • Try to stay relaxed and breathe!
